Are you lost inside the Church?

What is your reason for going to church (Daily mass and/or Sunday mass)? Is it because you have to? Is it because you were brought up that way and now you have to continue the tradition? someone told you? Is it because its the minimum requirement of the church? is it a ritual? has it become a cycle of sunday after sunday routine?

Well whatever your reason is, you are not far from where St. Paul was, considering that you are zealous for the law just as he was. St. Paul was a very devout Jew, he followed the law with strict observance. But when he found Jesus Christ, he then realized that everything that he was doing was at lost. His zeal to follow the law line by line was at lost because his heart was far away from God.

So let us look at ourselves. Do we really go to church because we truly love God? Or are we just following a ritual? or are we just trying to achieve a minimum requirement? Or because we are having problems and we need something from Him? Regardless of what your reason is, and I pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal it to you, if our hearts are far away from God and we have not truly repented of our sins, we are like that lost sheep inside the fold of the church. Eventhough we are inside the church, our hearts are so lost that we don't even see or feel the presence of Christ in the church. It is no wonder that we're not even amazed by the very presence of Jesus Christ in the most Holy Eucharist. It was once said, that if we as Catholics, really believe the Jesus is present in the Eucharist, we will be prostrating ourselves on the ground like the angels do. But sadly, we are not, we go to church not dressed appropriately, not paying attention, late (im guilty of this), sleepy...etc. You see the rituals are suppose to aid us in drawing our hearts closer to God, but we must set our hearts right before God and truly repent of our sins, then and only then will the grace of God flow to us and the liturgy that we partake into will make sense, and we will see the Jesus is present in them. Then we will not be lost anymore...
